The history of Ariston Boilers
A boiler brand with over 85 years of history and growth in the heating market.
Founded in the 30s with the production of weighing scales, it was not until the 1960s that the brand that you and I know as Ariston was created and began making electric water heaters and gas cylinders.
An aggressive growth campaign saw the company become a leader in the Italian Water Heater Sector and begin plans for the brand to move into other markets in Europe.
By the 1980s, Ariston began manufacturing their own range of boilers for the domestic market. The companies growth goes from strength to strength and over the next three decades, they acquire:
- Racold
- Elco
- Chaffoteaux
- Cuenod
- Rendamax
- Ecoflam
- Termogamma SA
In 2009, the company rebrands itself as Ariston Thermo to help cement its place as a global leader in the heating and water heating markets. But the acquisition of other brands does not stop and in the following few years, the group acquires:
- Cipag SA
- Domotec AG
- DhE
- ATAG Heating
- Heat Tech Geysers
- Gastech-Energi A/S
- SPM
- NTI
- HTP
- Atmor
- Calorex
In 2020, during the Coronavirus Pandemi, Ariston Thermo celebrated their 90th anniversary.
