Finding a local boiler repair man can prove to be difficult in the smaller towns and villages outside of Glasgow. Finding one who has a good reputation that they can follow up on is another. While so many boiler engineers will only work on a select number of manufacturers boilers, we can work on them all and have hundred of hours experience in doing so. So much so in fact that we are actually a Baxi Approved Boiler Installer.
This means that we are regarded in the highest level of membership by Baxi themselves and are approved by Baxi as gas engineers in our area to install their boilers. But it isn’t as simple as filling out a form to become a Baxi Boiler Installer.
They have strict guidelines for Gas Engineers to adhere to in order to become an approved member. To be ‘eligible’, we must install at least 20 Baxi boilers every 12 working months. This isn’t about fulfilling a quota. This is to ensure that we have the relevant knowledge of their boilers, how they work and the best way of installing a new Baxi Boiler over multiple scenarios and property types.
Along with having consistent experience of fitting their Boilers, we must also attend a Baxi organised training course once every two years. We must also hold public liability insurance and hold a valid Gas Safe Certificate (though this is a legal requirement for all gas engineers working on gas appliances so we already had this).
