Radiators come in all sorts of shapes and sizes but did you know that there are actually different types of radiator as well?
Let’s take a look at them…
Compact Radiators
Using fins to help transfer the heat more efficiently, these small sized radiators can be found in single and double panel formats. Obviously the double panel designs generate more heat but then they are also bigger.
Flat Panel Radiators
If you are struggling for space then flat panel radiators may be the answer. Available in a range of different sizes as well as vertical layouts, flat panel radiators are generally associated with electric heating but can also be available in piped format connecting to your central heating system.
Column Radiators
A more traditional look that will no doubt fit the period look of so many of the older homes across the West Coast of Scotland, column radiators provide excellent heat output and are available in both double and triple column layouts.
Towel Radiators
You are unlikely to find these in your hall but rarely do you find a bathroom these days that doesn’t have a towel radiator. Like flat panel radiators, you can get towel radiators both in electric and hot water heating formats and more often than not, come in steel/chrome colour.
