You will see the Gas Safe logo on our website, our vehicles and even our business cards. But what does it mean?
Gas Safe Register is the only registration body for gas businesses in the UK and all gas boiler companies in the country must be Gas Safe Registered.
Similar to people having a DVLA drivers license, being Gas Safe Registered is effectively a training and assessment process to ensure that a gas engineer is competent in what they are doing when it comes to gas appliances.
It is not a membership body, trade group or anything like that. For us to be able to work on your gas boiler, be it for installing a new one, carrying out servicing or repairs, we have to be Gas Safe Registered. If you are currently using another gas engineer who is not Gas Safe Registered – they are breaking the law.
What about CORGI?
Prior to 2009/2010, CORGI was the registration body for Great Britain. Since then, Gs Safe Register has been the only registration body for Scotland, England, Ireland, Isle of Man and Guernsey.
